In this episode:
Give Ethan a virtual high five—he won a scholarship to a prestigious woodworking course about furniture design and building!
This is super exciting, but also means he’s had to quit his remote job—there’s a lot of uncertainty for us about how we’ll pay our bills after this class, but it’s (and he’s) worth the leap
Slightly sneezes into the microphone and discovers the mic cover
So busy/stressed right now, but I’m somehow okay-ish?
Things Not Said is helping me stay sane and fuel my creative fire in the midst of lots of change and busy-ness
Maybe it’s not about doing more, it’s about doing more of the things you love and care about
A HUGE thank you to everyone who commented, bought me a coffee, sent me a message, etc, for everything from Things Not Said to how to handle family visits as a neurodivergent person. Y’all are the BEST.
Also I meant to talk more about:
Sharing and focusing on Things Not Said is already making a big difference in how I value myself, my time and my work. I think it’s because in doing a project that doesn’t necessarily make sense financially or schedule-wise, I’m telling myself that my interest and passion is worth something regardless. I think this is just another step in the very long process of reparenting myself and healing from CPTSD. It’s not that it’s really new knowledge, but I feel it making a deeper difference now that I’m putting it to action with this project. Maybe I’ll have more to share about this later on in the process!
Sorry for not having special episode art this week—I must be off to work on this week’s graphic novel art for Chapter 2 of Things Not Said!
